Membership
Each educational purchasing consortium may become a member of the Ohio
Council of Educational Purchasing Consortia by paying an annual membership
fee of $200. Each voting member must represent a public school
district or a council of government that represents public school
districts.
Members
There are currently 10
educational purchasing cooperatives in Ohio that are members of the Ohio
Council of Educational Purchasing Consortia. These cooperatives
vary in size based on the needs and interests of the school district
members in the region. There are cooperatives with a few districts
in a small region or county and there are cooperatives with over 170 member districts
and over 350,000 student base. The programs offered by each
cooperative varies according to the member district needs.
School districts currently
not a member of any cooperative should contact the cooperative in their
area.
The members of The Ohio Council of Educational Purchasing Consortia have joined with 23 other states to increase the purchasing power of member school districts. The contracts obtained through this association will offer the best prices on quality products and premier services based on the needs of over 27 million students in this national effort.
